Sideload an APK

Install a Burton Android app from GitHub Releases.

Each listing on this site has a Download APK button. That file comes from the app's GitHub Releases page.

Install on Android

  1. Open this site on the phone, or copy the APK to it.
  2. Tap Download APK. Chrome (or Files) will ask you to allow installs from that source the first time.
  3. Open the downloaded app-release.apk and install it.
  4. Open the app from the launcher.

Burton Sonos talks to speakers on the same Wi-Fi network. Grant nearby-device or location permission if Android asks — the app uses it to discover Sonos on the LAN, not for maps.
